Iron Rabbit Update #5: A New Beginning

3 months since i last posted here huh?  Well it's been a busy 3 months for the furious 5.  But first, a little update on the band.

The band got rid of a member and recruited another and then one member got assigned to a far away land called Cavite.  The band fired JC for several reasons that will not be divulged here.  Let's just say that there's some bad blood there.  Rev unluckily got assigned to Cavite Philippines for his work as an instructor in one of the Philippine's top pop music schools.  In light of these lineup changes, the band hired Karl to replace JC and give the band some fresh air and a fresh start.

A little info on the newest member of the furious 5.  Karl is known for being a guitarist who is fond of progressive music but plays for a myriad of genres.  His last band was a pop rock/alt rock OPM band.
Digging deeper into his influences, we find that his main influence is Manuel Legarda of Wolfgang.  Karl's playing style seems more suited to the genre of the band and provides a more ballsy gutsy riffage to Iron Rabbit.

New beginnings bring new life to old blood.  Philip finally has written new lyrics for compo 2 formerly known as Greed.  The song is currently untitled and needs just a few more tweaks to really kick some ass.  Compo 2 has been given a new sound thanks to Karl.  As to how it sounds, you be the judge of that.

Several new ideas for songs have also been explored and so far there are 2 promising drafts that have a very high chance of becoming kick ass Iron Rabbit songs.

That's all for this week.  Catch the Rabbits at the Rabbit Hole (Department of Rock & Roll Studio) every Friday night from 8pm onwards and just chill out with the band as they make music for the ages.

But soon the world
Had its evil way
My heart was blinded
Love went astray

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes
